About Dr. Park:
Dr. Seong C. Park is an Associate Professor and Natural Resource Economist for The Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at Vernon and Amarillo, Texas. His current research projects include 1) Quantify the economic consequences and impact on water resources of alternative cropping and rangeland management practices in the Texas High Plains and Rolling Plains, 2) Develop an economic model of alternative, sustainable bio-fuel production systems using rangeland woody biomass, 3) Analyze costs and risks associated with alternative methods of improving air quality in livestock production facilities (PM control and GHG emission) and the economic consequences of animal performance changes resulting from various alternative abatement methods, and 4) Evaluate the economic and environmental consequences of various grazing strategies for different range and soil health conditions.
