About Professor Haby:
Michael G. Haby is a Professor and Extension Economist - Seafood with Texas A&M University. His research and outreach focuses on (a) the creation of various practices, procedures, and policies to help the domestic shrimp industry navigate through a five-year, worldwide revenue crisis, (b) standardized performance analysis for offshore shrimp producers, (c) quality improvement and certification for shrimp producers and processors, and (d) design and implementation of seafood quality and safety management systems for the retail food sector.
