Articulation (2+2) Agreements

Texas A&M University and the Department of Agricultural Economics have teamed with Blinn College to offer transfer students a unique opportunity. Blinn College students seeking degrees in either Agribusiness or Agricultural Economics can now take advantage of a new program designed to guarantee admission to the Department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University. It is the first time these two higher education institutions have matched their curriculum to assure that students who complete a bachelor's degree at Texas A&M University will also receive a specialized associate's degree from Blinn College. The Articulation (2+2) Agreement programs are designed to enable students to make a seamless transition into the Department of Agricultural Economics and progress in a timely manner toward graduation.

Transfer students can choose to major in either Agricultural Economics or Agribusiness. Students who complete the requirements of the Articulation (2+2) Agreement for either of these two majors will be admitted automatically to the Department of Agricultural Economics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences provided they are within six hours of completing their associate's degree; meet the minimum cumulative GPR requirements; satisfy the grade requirements in math, accounting, and economics; and meet the other general admission requirements, including submitting an application, essay and transcripts. Students in the Articulation (2+2) Agreement program must, as usual, complete an online admissions application by the appropriate deadline.

Interested students are encouraged to contact Poppy Capehart at Blinn College, Bryan (979/209-7253; poppy@blinn.edu) or the Department of Agricultural Economics, Texas A&M University, College Station (979/845-4911; agecoug@ag.tamu.edu).
