On-Campus Transfers
It is possible to apply to change majors should you decide your career
objectives would be better served by majoring in another department
within the College of Agriculture or another college at Texas A&M.
Before applying to change, however, it is advisable that you visit with
a counselor in the department to which you are considering transferring.
This should help you decide whether or not the transfer would be to
your best advantage.
We highly advise you consult the department to which you wish to change
into as soon as you think you may want to change majors. Each
Department has its own process, requirements, and deadlines for changing
majors. In addition, there could be substantial differences
in the curriculum between the degree you are now pursuing and the degree
to which you wish to change. Delays in changing degree programs could
result in you having coursework which does not count towards your degree.
For complete University rules regarding change of curriculum, go to
http://student-rules.tamu.edu.
On the left column, click on Part I: Academic Rules, and then click
on Item 5, “Change of Curriculum.”
