Professional Summary
Mark Welch, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and economist for grain marketing with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. He operated a farm and cattle feedlot in Castro County, Texas prior to attending Texas Tech University to earn his PhD in Agricultural Economics. Mark is the director of the comprehensive risk management education program, Master Marketer Program, and the professional development program, TEPAP: The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers. Welch’s research interests encompass all stakeholders in the grain industry, particularly in the areas of risk management and market analysis.
