What people are saying about Weston AgriFood Sales

Probably the most important thing the program taught me was how to accept rejection and bounce back from it. Because it gave me the opportunity to have real-life interactions with professionals from diverse companies, I gained a lot of confidence and also learned I wasn’t always going to be successful.
Susie Saca ’21Oil and Gas Sales and Recruiting Representative
Students in the program are exposed to products, services, customers and competition. Our goal is to prepare the student to make an immediate difference in their new sales position. We train them to be prepared not only on the technical aspects of sales but also the more personal and human aspects.
Clark Springfield
Clark Springfield ’84Weston AgriFood Sales Program Director and Professor of Practice
I learned how to read a room and the right way to approach and interact with buyers – who ranged from ‘relationship’ buyers who liked to talk about their families to ‘spreadsheet’ buyers who wanted little or no personal interaction with me. The courses gave me a lot of life lessons, but one I keep reflecting on was that they taught me to expect both peaks and valleys in my career and how I should prepare for them.
