Professional Summary
After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Event Management, Kelsea Vaughan launched an event management company, Touch of Whimsy, in June 2015. Located in New Braunfels, Texas, Touch of Whimsy serves clients around the world, including destinations abroad. Their focus is in Event Design and Planning, working primarily in the planning realm with weddings. Kelsea also works with corporate events. Kelsea was the official corporate event planner for the AGEC 425 Entrepreneurial Dreams Symposium, 2016-2019. Today, 50% of the business is focused on floral and event design. The Touch of Whimsy team specializes in bringing the clients’ visions to life through flowers. In 2020, Ke;sea expanded into education for new small business owners by providing consulting and online education.
As an AGEC 425 “Survivor,” Kelsea consistently serves as a mentor to emerging students in the Dianne and M. Edward Rister ’74 Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program. In 2018, Kelsea was recognized during the AGEC 425 Corrigan-Goddard Foundation Entrepreneurial Dreams Symposium as “Entrepreneur of the Year – Early Career.”
